What is executive coaching ?

What it can be

Importantly, your coaching experience will be highly structured and responsive to YOU and your unique situation. Coaches normally use a structured approach to their coaching sessions.

A skilled coach is able to provide the safe environment, time and appropriate challenge and questioning to support their coachees to identify the challenges they face, what the causes of those blocks are and create a plan of action to maximise their performance.

What it isn't

Coaching isn't just having a 'chat' and it certainly is not psychotherapy - oh and it's not counselling either !
A coach will definitely not 'teach' you how to be a good leader or manager and will not be told what to do.

Coaching is not a passive process and requires 100% commitment from the coachee.

Be prepared to be challenged in a safe, supported environment. You must be prepared to have a trusting and open relationship with your coach if you are to gain from the experience.

The coaching relationship

Working with you heading

Central to effective coaching is the relationship between you and your coach. The coaching relationship is built on trust and confidentiality.

Before entering into an agreement to provide coaching it is essential that we engage and discuss the focus for your coaching work and at the end of this initial first meeting (normally 30 minutes) either party can decide not to progress to a coaching relationship.

There is no obligation and this meeting is provided at no cost and I won't be offended if you decide I am not the coach for you.

The coaching experience and process

As you progress through your coaching meetings your will gain clarity on how to achieve the goals you set and agreed with me, develop your strategic planning and identify how you plan to deal with any specific issues you wish to address.

Key to the coaching experience is an enhanced and increased self-awareness.

These positive outcomes will only be achieved if you participate in coaching with the motivation to get the maximum benefit from the meetings.

As a professional coach, my coaching practise is informed and I follow the Global Code of Ethics. A copy of the code of ethics is provided to all clients along with a signed service agreement.
All clients are also asked to consider providing
coach evaluations at the end of a programme of coaching.

The format of coaching meetings which are available globally, seven days a week

If you decide to progress with coaching, most people commit to a minimum of four to six coaching meetings to gain maximum benefit. However, one-off meetings are also used where someone wants to focus on a specific and often urgent issue.

A formal coaching session of 60 minutes is normally arranged on a monthly basis with potential 'catch up' discussions where required.

Recognising work and life demands I provide flexible times and ways to access coaching - each coaching session is a dialogue between my client and me either in person, video conference or telephone.


Executive Coaching Costs and Payments

My professional fee reflects my years' of experience, direct costs in providing my services and the dedicated time with each client.

I can invoice individuals or employers with charging facilitated through local currency and flexible payment options such as local funds transfer, invoice, PayPal or card payments.

I can discuss and advise on the options that best meet your individual circumstances regardless of who is funding your coaching sessions.

All clients are offered a free assessment and report using the well recognised Everything DiSC® behaviours and preferred working style profile assessments.
